Microsoft Office 365 for students
Office 365 Education for Students is available for free to students who are enrolled at qualifying schools. Install Office on your own device by clicking on this link Office.com/GetOffice365 and putting in your school email address.
It will verify your email and then ask for a few details before you can download Office 365.
Student Laptops/Tablets Internet Access
Please connect to the WASNet wireless within the school using your normal network username & password you use at school. You only need to do this once.
You will need to enter the same username and password again into the Watchguard system, you will need to do this more often.
You are still required to abide by the School Internet Policy when using the internet via a personal device.
Printing from Student Laptops/Tablets
Whangamata Area School lets students print from their personal laptops via Google Cloud Print. In order to use this first make sure you have Google Chrome installed on your device. Then sign into Chrome using your @whangamata.school.nz username and password. When you hit Print, a selection of Photocopiers around the school will become available. Please insure you have print credit before trying to print. See the office if you have any print credit questions.
Documents etc. will need to be uploaded to Google Drive in order to print using this method.
